My good friends at Exist Skate Store are hosting this excellent group show, opening on Friday September 20th. As some Swansea-ites might agree, this town is somewhat starved of outlets for contemporary art. So, let’s make this show a success and kick the doors open for more progressive art and culture in the city.
I’ve been delighted to work with the stellar fellows of RED FANG. An amazing live band, and great dudes to boot. Here is the poster version, of the t-shirt design I recently completed for them. Aaron suggested something along the lines of a Lion’s head on an ant’s body, or an Ant’s head on a Lion’s body. Either way, it sounded like something that was in line with my artwork, and something that I could run with and expand upon.
This was created with pencil sketch, pen and ink, and digitally coloured. Burlesque Design handled the printing, and they did a sterling job. The silver colour way, has a metallic ink for the highlight.
I’m pleased to announce a very special art print of the cover I created for London’s Orange Goblin. They have just released their ‘A Eulogy For The Fans..’ album, and I was honored to illustrate the front cover.
I’ve just completed the cover the Orange Goblin’s new live album. You can see the final piece in the folio section.
I’m glad to announce my latest print, available at my store now. I drew the original in pen and ink, for recent ‘End Of The 13th Bak’tun’ show in London.
I’m contributing a pen and ink original, to this great show. It opens in London on Dec. 21st.
I’ve just completed ‘Momenta’. An original piece created for the upcoming ‘Life & Death In Black And White’ show. I concentrated on time as the central theme, and the importance of staying in the present moment. It’s the only thing we have, after all.
‘Momenta’ will be exhibited and on sale at the ‘L&DBW’ show. Opening Nov. 2nd at The Loren Naji Studio Gallery, 2138 West 25th Street, Cleveland, Ohio, 4413.
I’ve also made a limited run of A3, Giclee prints, which are on sale at the show and at my store.
The initial rough drafts were sketched in pencil, before using a light-box and my Rotring Isograph pens to ink the final draft. It’s been very fulfilling to produce a fully analogue piece. I plan to render more final pieces this way, as well an ongoing convergence of digital and non-digital processes.
